*Alpha Epsilon Phi was formerly Epsilon Phi, a local Jewish sorority. This fall they wil become Alpha Epsilon Phi a national Jewish sorority and national representatives will be on campus recruiting new members into the sorority.
Unrecognized Groups
The names of the chapters listed on this page are the only fraternities and sororities recognized at UC Irvine. There are honor societies and other professional organizations that use greek letters, but they are not recognized as a fraternity or sorority, instead they are recognized as a greek letter organization. Be aware of any group that says they are a fraternity or sorority but is not listed on this page or is not registered with the Dean of Students Office. Unrecognized groups are also considered underground groups due to the fact that their activities are done in secret.
