Transferring to UCI
8:30 am - 10:45 am • Student Center Emerald Bay
Students who have both applied and been admitted for Fall 2008 will learn about the next steps in the admissions/ enrollment process. Prospective applicants will receive information about admission requirements and transfer strategies. A panel of UCI transfer students will share their experiences and insight into the transfer process.

Admissions Office Open House

Admissions staff are available to answer questions and to provide information. Newly admitted students may submit their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR), either online, and/ or in person.

Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships Open House

If you are applying for financial aid or have questions regarding aid at UCI, we want to assist you while you are on campus.

Explore UC Irvine
9:30 am - 10:45 am • Pacific Ballroom Student Center
Explore UCI is an informational program for newly admitted freshmen. Explore UCI activities include: A Welcome from the Director of Admissions, Major and Academic Program Information, and Student Panel.

Tram Tours of the Campus
10:00 am - 3:30 pm • Ring Mall near Anteater Plaza
Everyone is invited to take a tram tour of the UCI campus. If you would like to take the tram, please arrive at least 30 minutes before the departure time.

Walking Tours of the Campus
10:00 am - 2:00 pm • Ring Mall near Anteater Plaza
Everyone is invited to take a walking tour of the campus. Tour will last one hour.

Housing Info Booth and Tours

On-campus residence halls (freshmen), Arroyo Vista theme houses (freshmen & transfer students), Campus Village Apartments (transfer students & continuing students), Vista del Campo (continuing, transfer, & graduate students), and Vista del Campo Norte (continuing, transfer, & graduate students) open their doors to visitors with tours guided by UCI students.

American Indian Family Day

Come learn about the resources available to Native students at UCI. Meet faculty, staff, students, and alumni from UCI’s Native american community to develop your UCI support network. Lunch and cultural entertainment provided.

Study, Work, Volunteer, Intern, Research, and Teach Abroad Info Booth

Curious about studying abroad? How about working, interning, volunteering, teaching, or doing research abroad? If so, come check out the Center for International Education (CIE) booth to get more information about the UC Education Abroad Program (EAP) and UCI’s International Opportunities Program (IOP). The table will be hosted by International Peer Advisors who have returned from programs overseas.

UCI Athletics Info Booth

This Sportcenter themed booth includes games, prizes, and information about UC Irvine Athletics. Be sure to bring the whole family out for the fun!

Campus Recreation and the ARC Info Booth

Disability Services Center Open House

Disability Services has a new location. Tour the new facility, meet staff and counselors. Light refreshments provided.

UCI Alumni Association Hospitality Tent & Beverage Garden

Alumni, students and guests are welcome to enjoy the UCI Alumni Association’s Hospitality Tent and Beverage Garden. Meet up with friends, get out of the sun or stop by for icy cold refreshments. The Student Alumni Association will be serving Strickland’s ice cream root beer floats with proceeds benefiting student scholarships. Adult beverages will also be available for purchase. Be sure to bring the family for the Santa Ana Zoo’s animal shows at 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. All visitors receive FREE ‘Eater Nationgear. Alumni members: Show your card for a free gift!

UCI Bookstore & UCI Computerstore Wheel of Fortune

Check out the UCI Bookstore’s Wheel of Fortune and get a chance to win one of dozens of prizes. The Bookstore will also be offering 15% off on UCI clothing, gifts, glassware, general books, and select Computerstore items throughout the store. We are located inside the UC Irvine Student Center, next to Starbucks.

Master Tap Dance Class

Join Dance MFA candidate, Tracey Bonner, for a master class in tap! Newly admitted students and alumni are invited to participate. Please dress comfortably and bring your tap shoes. All are invited to watch the class.

UCI Athletic Tours

Visit the athletic facilities. Shuttles will leave at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 3:00 pm from the flagpoles. Be sure to bring the whole family out for fun. Rip ‘em Eaters!

Established in the summer of 1992, it comprises the central music reference and technology resource in UC Irvine’s Claire Trevor School of the Arts.

SamPLINGS: 4th annual select undergraduate exhibition juried by Carole Ann Klonandes.

Beall Center for Art and Technology

The Donald R. and Joan F. Beall Center for Art and Technology is an exhibition center that explores new relationships between the arts, sciences, and engineering. The Beall Center’s current exhibition is “LIVE” featuring seven artists who sample and transform data, photographs and video from the Internet and incorporate it into their sculptures and installations.

ArtsLab Open House

ArtsLab is a general-purpose computing lab located downstairs in Studio Four Room 104, available to students, staff, and faculty in the Claire Trevor School of the Arts.

Master Ballet Dance Class

Dance MFA alumni (Spring 2007), Li-Ann Lim, offers a master class in ballet. Newly admitted students and alumni are invited to participate. Please dress appropriately (ballet slippers and attire), arrive promptly at 1:30 pm, and be ready to dance! All are invited to watch the class.

Uncle Vanya Directed by Keith Fowler

SPECIAL TICKET PRICE (TWO FOR ONE DEAL-matinee only) Rewritten by Anton Chekhov from his earlier play, The Wood Demon, the now treasured Uncle Vanya was the second of his four masterpieces to be produced by the Moscow Art Theater.
